What we will be learning

NBTSbloghop

Yes, homeschooling curricula decision time has come and gone. I have kissed the UPS, USPS, and Fedex guys as my kids have given them dirty looks after they realized what they were bringing and now I am in the midst of tackling the task of inputting our lessons plans into Homeschool Tracker Plus. Yes, I know, my plans often change and then I have to update the lesson plans and schedule and then by about Dec/Jan, I will abandon the schedule and just input our resources into HTP but such is life. I admit that I am a bit anal and just like *feeling* accomplished by inputting all that data. ;-)

  • I’m just curious – do you follow a “traditional” teaching schedule of August/September through May/June, or do you engage in a year-round curriculum?

  • We are using First language Lessons too. Have a great year

  • Apologia Astronomy, we loved it. I hope you have a great year. Thank you for sharing on the Blog Hop.

  • Nice, French! And Astronomy.
Just a thought. You should teach them about dinosaurs, because I was quite anal retentive at that age, and kept an immaculate list of about 200 dinosaurs that I thought were awesome, and had them memorized. Can’t tell you what the list says nowadays, but it kept me busy. Just puttin’ it out there. Also, if they are anything like I was, then if they act up during class, you should throw a shiny thing across the room. That *always* gets my attention. :)

Thanks for your insight dear!!! My son was really into dinosaurs from 3-5 but now that he is 5.5, he announced yesterday that he no longer likes dinosaurs because they are extinct. ;)
